Hi there, I’m Karen Davenport, founder of Dalton Bloom, and I’m so glad you’re here.

My journey in floristry officially took root in May 2014, when I launched Dalton Bloom after completing my training at a prestigious flower school in Mayfair, London. That same year, I began teaching—an unexpected but deeply fulfilling path that soon became central to my purpose.

Although my first wedding production dates back to 2003, and my work has since taken me across Africa producing large-scale weddings for incredible clients, dignitaries and even a few royals, my greatest pride lies not in the grandeur of those events, but in the growth of my students.

Drawing on over 22 years of experience in the floral and event design industry, I developed the training programmes we offer today. I recognised a real need for floristry education that goes beyond theory—programmes rooted in real-world experience that teach not only the essential skills of floristry, but also the hard truths and the equally abundant joys that come with this craft.
