One Day Foundational Workshop

Filled with essential skills and projects this full day workshop is the perfect introduction to the world of luxury floristry.

You will be guided by our Founder Karen every step of the way as you focus on the building blocks of the craft and establishing a strong foundation of floral know-how.

At the core of this class are the essential best practices for purchasing your blooms, the care and conditioning of them and the best products and tools that are vital to the vitality and longevity of each arrangement. Students will have the opportunity to create two of the industries core skill pieces - a hand-tied design and a domed pot arrangement so often seen in retail floristry designs. All floristry is reliant on learning specific techniques that are critical for the success of each and every piece you design. We also share information on our preferred suppliers and master gift-wrap techniques. 

These new found floristry accomplishments will enable you to tackle more ambitious projects like vase designs and large urn arrangements should you catch the floral bug and want to advance your skills. 

Suitable for - complete beginners and those looking to re-familiarise themselves with core skills.

Time: Full day classes will start at 9am and finish at around 5pm with an hour break for lunch. You are welcome to arrive no more than 15 minutes before the start of the class and enjoy some light refreshments.
