Suspended Designs - Full Day Workshop

Suspended Designs is an immersive floral installation workshop created for those ready to explore the art of florals in the air. Led by Karen Davenport, with over two decades of experience in the wedding industry, this course reveals the techniques, planning, and creative thinking behind breathtaking suspended floral designs.

You’ll learn how to conceptualise, construct, and install suspended arrangements - covering mechanics, balance, safety considerations, flower selection, and scale. From romantic wedding features to dramatic statement installations, this workshop demystifies complex structures and turns ambitious ideas into achievable designs.

Course Highlights

Theoretical Session:

• Purchasing flowers- where & what to look out for
• Conditioning, care & treatment of flowers
• Essential tools & products
• Principles and elements of floral design

Practical Sessions: 

• Creation of suspended floral installation and leave with flowers for your home

This workshop is perfect for florists, creatives, and stylists looking to expand their skill set. Suspended Designs offers hands-on learning, industry insight, and the confidence to create impactful installations that elevate any event space.

No prior floral training is required to attend this course.

Time: Full day classes will start at 9am and end at approx. 4pm. You are welcome to arrive no more than 15 minutes before the start of the class and enjoy some light refreshments.

Bookings close for each class at 10am the day before. If you book after 10am we will not be able to accommodate you.
